I literally drove from Louisiana to California just to see Dr. Steve Tsuchida and his amazing crew—and I’d do it again. That should tell you everything.

Dr. Tsuchida is the kind of dentist who’s incredibly skilled, genuinely cares, and somehow makes dental work feel way less… dental. Shelly at the front desk is an absolute rockstar, and the entire staff makes you feel like family the second you walk in.

If you’re looking for the best dentist around, stop searching. This is it. Worth every mile. Dirty B

During my procedure, Dr Tsuchida and his assistant were very conscientious of my comfort and explained the procedure in detail and answered any questions I had. I would like to also commend to the front office staff who are also a delight to work with! We have been going to Dr. Tsuchida for almost 10 years and I have nothing but the best to say about this whole place, from the doctor to the front desk. Dr.Tsuchida is unlike any other dentist, pushing for unnecessary treatment. He is always honest and gives me the best options as he would give to his family. As soon he knew my son had an interest of being a dentist, he offered him to observe a day shadowing him.

Posted On: 11/11/2025 Reflections Family Dentistry is the best. Dr.Tsuchida and the staff treat you like family. They are so helpful, knowledgeable and honest. They discuss all treatment options with you, what you may need now and what is not a priority. They don't try to make you have treatments you don't need. I have been with Dr. Tsuchida since he started in Orangevale in 2004. In fact my whole family goes to Reflections. Insurance or not, I will still continue to go to Reflections. You can't find a more honest, upfront and caring group of people. You are missing out on a great dentist if you don't schedule a visit! Christine D

I’ve Been a part of this dental family since I was in my teens and I’m now in my 40s. There has been a few times where I ventured off to try other dentists and immediately regretted it. I also have three children that I bring to this practice they’ve never experienced fear or pain or really anything other than a pleasant experience. Posted On: 12/19/2024 We have been coming to Reflections Family Dentistry for a few years. They are great. Almost always on time, very accommodating and always give the high end consistent service I look for. I bring all my children here and they are wonderful with them. This past weekend, my 6 year old cracked a molar and we had it filled within the hour of it happening on a weekend evening during the holidays. It required a little more work than Dr. Tsuchida could do solo, but he stopped a majority of the pain and potential complications and got us in early Monday when his staff was available to help and polished off the tooth to make it perfect. My insurance isn't one they accept. I still come and just pay upfront, they always submit my claim for me so I just have to cash my reimbursement check when it arrives. Stefanie S

Posted On: 12/18/2024 I cannot say nearly enough about how amazing Reflections Family Dentistry is! A year ago I would have called anyone a liar who said that a dental office could be described as amazing, but then I was referred to Reflections by a friend and they have more then earned the praise. My son was terrified to go to the dentist after multiple horrible experiences with our previous pediatric dentist! If you think you need a specialized pediatric dentist you are wrong. Dr. Tsuchida and all the staff at Reflections are so kind and understanding and truly care about my son having a positive experience. Where he use to be in tears at just the thought of going to the dentist I now find that the staff can even make him laugh a little. I’m pretty sure my own cleanings take longer because I’m talking and laughing with everyone.

From the minute you walk in the door of Reflections to the minute you walk out it is a positive experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, especially if previous experiences have been negative somewhere else. I owe Dr. Tsuchida and his entire staff my undying gratitude for the compassion they have shown my son.

Shelly always greats me by name the wait time is very minimal and Steven always takes his time to make sure my children and I know what to expect and understand what is being done. Most importantly they take their time and great care with my husband who had a stroke a few years ago and has issues opening his mouth and is always in pain they make it as quick and painless as possible and try to minimize his anxiety (d/t the stroke his anxiety is VERY high). Posted On: 03/13/2024 I have always had bad experiences with the dentist, and that causes me to be hesitant to go. From day one, Dr. Tsuchida was very informative and willing to inform me every step. He is the one dentist who has actually made the experience very good. Recently, I had extreme pain in my teeth. He was able to get me in immediately, and an hour later, I have received a very painless root canal. I can't recommend Dr. Tsuchida enough, he is amazing. Ryan L
